A collection of short stories, anecdotes, pieces eulogizing the flyers of the Army Air Forces, and occasionally the men who kept them flying, written by several sergeants and generals, but for the most part by majors of Air Force. The diary is dated, but the main arrangement of pieces is according to theme, namely, first hand accounts of missions, life in prison camps, the adventures of being shot down, B-29's, the Air Transport Command, service crews at the base, flight doctors and nurses, peace celebrations, post-war aviation. Included are two over-all reviews of the air war in Europe and in the Pacific as well as signed articles by Generals Chennault and Arnold. A souvenir book for the officers and the enlisted men of the Army Air Forces.
