Meko has just completed his third CD, Christmas at the Castle - a gorgeous tapestry of traditional Holiday music performed on Celtic Harp, Flute and Cello. His journey started as a toddler at the family piano and continued when at 11 years of age he took up the harp and began rigorous classical training. Years of sore fingers, tears of frustration and the joy of making music followed... and as much as Meko knew he loved the harp, he intuitively knew that the classical concert stage was not where his destiny lay. Shortly thereafter he formed a band, wrote his first original songs, began dabbling in vocals and performing on the electric harp. Today his journey has brought him to new heights, from romantic ballads and soul searching songs to pulse pounding beats that resonate the very essence of what Meko and contemporary music can be. Meko is based in Orlando, Florida and has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East, the Caribbean - the world, performing in both the English and Spanish languages. In addition to touring Meko is also a member of the American Harp Society, the International Folk Harp Society, the World Harp Congress, a two-time prize winner of the International Jazz-Harp Competition, has been consistently in the top 20 on Japanese radio and has received critical acclaim worldwide. Most recently Meko has been invited to perform at the 2005 World Expo in Aichi, Japan.
