Editorial Reviews
Eydie Gorme joined the band in 1950 at the age of seventeen and these live recordings are from 1951. Gregg Lawrence had a few minor chart successes when he was a member of The Frankie Carle Orchestra and he certainly gives a fine performance on Be My Love. Gregg's successor was Bill Raymond who sadly only performs on one title on this CD, the poignant Just Say I Love Her. An interesting CD with great vocals from the time when The Tex Beneke Orchestra ceased to record under the auspices of the Glenn Miller estate.
