Muleskinner Live  (Bluegrass)  Original Television Soundtrack

By Muleskinner

Very Good Condition

In 1973, a group of hot young bluegrass talents came together to back Bill Monroe for a PBS TV special. Bill s bus broke down and he missed the taping, but the backing band stepped forward to create the first nationally-televised bluegrass program. That stellar line-up included Clarence White, Peter Rowan, David Grisman, Richard Greene and Bill Keith. Long thought lost, 13 tracks bluegrass gems are unearthed on this CD including Red Rocking Chair; New Camptown Races; Orange Blossom Special; I Am a Pilgrim, and Dark Hollow.

A Review:

It is just thrilling to listen to these guys play. There is so much on this disc. I have played it for others (some who don't even like bluegrass much) and they all get their feet thumping and heart beating a little faster. I had heard about this for years and had gotten to thinking it was a legend. It is the real deal and well worth the wait.
