Vera Lynn Remembers Vol.1

By Vera Lynn

Very Good Condition

A Review:

My hubby loves this singer (the forces sweetheart) we were not born at the time of the war but some good did come out of it and some bad , wife's, sons, daughters, boyfriends, were all lost and was our darkest time this century but something came out good they got a singer who gave them hope and enertainment like other entertainers. But getting back theses cd is great and have no trouble with the seller.

2nd Review:

Be warned - these are new 1990s digital recordings with just piano accompaniment and spoken introductions by Vera Lynn between each track. However, in my experience, cheap label collections of her music tend to have very poor quality sound suggesting that they have been taken from original 78s with inadequate sound processing. These are at least in very clear sound. Best policy is to pay a bit more and stick to top price labels - her 1940s and 1950s recordings were for Decca, so collections from Universal (i.e.Spectrum label) would be first choice. EMI recordings are later re-recordings.
